Raffles at past fundraisers have included a star quilt, handmade by a Lakota woman from the reservation, and the American Girl Doll, KAYA. Proceeds have provided the purchase of library books for preschool children ages 3 to 5 years who attend Little Wound School in addition to providing a bi-yearly scholarship to a full-time enrolled Lakota Sioux student attending Oglala Lakota College. Both schools are located in Kyle on the Pine Ridge Reservation in southwestern South Dakota.
